Platinum ring

So the engagement ring I bought has a platinum band and I was looking at it the other day... it seems to really be scratched up.  Is this common with platinum?  I thought platinum was better (well at least more expensive) than gold.

Will these scratches come out or can they be cleaned?

i think platinum scratches can't be remove. I advice that before you buy some stuff, you must double check it to ensure that it does not have any scratches or damage.
