Most of the people believe blue colored diamonds are one of the most beautiful diamonds, if not the most. They are found in 4 different shades of blue –

Vivid blue,   
Fancy blue,
Light blue, and
Intense blue

The lighter shade of the color blue, the more valuable the diamond is. As the shade of the color blue gets darker and when one starts to see a greenish tint to it the less valuable it is.

If one has to identify the true color of a blue colored diamond, than all you need is to hold it up to clear light. One won’t be able to find out its true color if fluorescent lights are used found in many jewelry stores.
