Champagne diamonds are naturally coloured diamonds that are produced in a wide range of colours from light straw to rich cognac. The shades and hues of brown diamonds, usually grouped under the category of champagne diamonds.This is one of the famous diamonds because more celebrities have been spotted sporting all shades of brown diamonds on the red carpet.

Natural fancy coloured diamonds are very rare and expensive. The attempted Millennium Dome Diamond Robbery was an attempt to steal 12 large diamonds valued at a total of £200 million, an average of over £16 million each. Eleven out of the twelve diamonds were fancy coloured diamonds! The twelfth (non-champagne) diamond weighed 203 carats.
