Would you recommend paying for D color when buying a ring.  I mean there is no difference to the naked eye, is E not good enough?

I would rather take that money and spend it on higher quality somewhere else like clarity.

Great question.
It all depends on your preferences. A "D" is a "D" and not an "E" in actuality whether you can tell the difference or not. But most American consumers typically don't like to pay for things they can't see. So if you are in the category of consumer that thinks like that, paying for a D is probably not the best use of monies. Especially if you are compromising in other areas. ie, buying an SI for value but paying for a D. But it all depends on preference and value.

I agree with Bdex, if you really want a D, yes, it is worth paying for.
If you have the money, why not taking a D?

But if you just want a nice diamond with a nice colour, you can take G or H as well.

But the way you say it: "I mean there is no difference to the naked eye, is E not good enough?"

I would say: of course it is  Wink
